The problem is that if they oust McCarthy, someone even more extreme will end up taking his place, and then the shutdown could last until 2025. You think that someone like Chip Roy would allow any bipartisan deal to pass? Heâd rather keep the government shut down. Itâs better to keep McCarthy there with the concession that heâll pass bipartisan legislation to keep the government open through the end of this congress.

WOW. That stat Rep. Boyle started with is astonishing and needs to be broadcast, by the media, every chance you get. Those are the types of facts the media fails to equip us with (often) that are imperative for Americans to consider. If you aren't equipping Americans with FACTS – not opinions.. FACTS – that are important to determining their vote, then you can't turn around and ask, why are there so many people willing to vote for trump, or against their own interests, or etc.
