‘Hurting the American people’: Jeffries speaks out on GOP ‘civil war’

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries talks about the looming government shutdown during his weekly press conference saying, “They need to end their civil war because it’s hurting the American people. I’m not saying they all have to like each other. But we should be able to figure out a way to get the business of the American people done.” In this video, Jeffries also talks about meeting with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy.

    It's mind boggling to me to see a successful President pass historic Legislation to help American people and Minority leader Jefferies articulate common sense ideas to help average citizens but almost a third of the Country wanting to see an ignorant bigoted conman like Trump back in the White House.

    Whoever thought waving your hands around while speaking publicly was a good means of conveying your thoughts and ideas, needs their head examined. The LAST THING you want in public speaking is to create a distraction for your audience.

    THAT is precisely what 🙌 waving hands 🙌 does—it's a distraction to the audience, for which your message gets lost.

    Pass a law taking away politicians paychecks when they shut down the government and I doubt it will ever happen again. They do this every time and could have passed something long ago if they had done their jobs. Why should you get paid while your constitutants suffer. This hateful revenge only proves you are incapable of doing your jobs.

    So since the MAGATS can't get the Dems and regular Americans to answer their call for a civil war, they've decided to start one with the regular (sane) republicans in their party?
