A small percentage of gun owners hunt, less than 15%.
That's why the left equates the 2nd Amendment with hunting, so they can ban the most popular firearms.
Hunting firearms are useless for self-defense…

There are 393,000,000M privately owned guns in the US. Of that number, around 20,000,000M of them are AR-15 style long guns. I cannot think of any single reason why any private citizen needs to have that style of long gun in their possession in the US.

Don't give me the lame excuses of protecting my family and home, protecting my country if we are invaded by a foreign enemy, etc. Those reasons are why we have the military which includes the National Guard, and the Coast Guard. We also have City Police Departments, Township Police, County Sheriffs, and State Police Departments.
We have an over abundance of hand guns that are available for citizens to purchase. Why is it that State and Federal legislators Will Not pass bills for mandatory background checks on people legally purchasing firearms in their states? What are they afraid of? Backlash from the NRA, or the cutoff of the mighty money they are paid every year to continue with the status quo? Money and Power has everything to do with that scenario. Why won't congress entertain the idea of banning the sale of butt stocks and silencers? The same reasons as the above!

Good for him. We must realize that there are a huge plethora of gun owners out there who are Democrats. It’s good that we have a candidate who supports the second amendment.

Sorry, Mr. Busse you are wrong about coastal people's opinions on guns. What we disagree on is the ownership and use of automatic weapons, which are NEVER used for hunting. It isn't the ownership of guns, it’s the weapon that has become the most widely used in mowing down as many people as possible in the shortest period, like children in schools, innocent people in churches, clubs, on the streets, etc. I personally grew up around guns, but I have no need or reason to own one today. My home has deadbolts on the doors and my dog is the best alarm system there is on this planet. You don't even have to try and enter this house; he warns me if your even on this property.

If there is one gun owner that absolutely knows OF ONE CHILD OR ADULT… That is truly willing to lay down their life for those crazies that "MUST" have a Support Therapy weapon of choice JUST to HIGHLY protect the rights … Step up with the name.

He didn't really answer any of Stephanie's questions. He just kept repeating the same thing. I mean, good for him, but like…people can tell when someone sticks to a script.

He is a Republicans hiding under the flag of Democracy. They win as Democratz and turn Republicans after a few weeks, You can no longer win as Republican in any state. Its cruelty that drive Republicans agenda, hard to win on Disloyalty to America so they run as Defenders of Democracy.
Dig reporters dig deep and follow the trail support to NRA or other lobbies trying to crush the rule of Law. Dig Dig Dig and dig deep.

Busse is saying all the right things! I also believe there are a lot of gun owners that are Dem. Responsible is the KEY word here!

Common sense can protect us from bad gun laws and have guns.

I personally don’t own a gun or want one though I believe responsible is possible with the right laws

Could be a wolf in sheep's clothing, ala Manchin or Sinema. Don't trust CEOs to have the interest of the avg citizen in mind, and specially one from gun manufacturing.

Instead of asking generic questions about guns, why didn't she ask specifics, like where does he stand with banning things like AR-15?

Rights AND Responsibilities. Bravo. There's the bumper sticker for the 2nd Amendment. If you must have guns as symbols of "Americana", then understand what those symbols are. They ain't apple pie, that's for sure.

That's what lying Cheating Republicans do. They can't win the popular vote so they plant fake democrats. Example Kristin Sinema and Joe Manchin. I like what he says I pray he's not lying.

I read his book as soon as I heard of it and it was one of the soundest and most thoughtful reads I've ever encountered. The guy in the interview is authentic and his perspectives are spot on. I truly hope there are as many responsible Montanans as he feels that there are. He made the stakes very clear. This is way more about democracy than guns.

MS NBC has become a propaganda station constantly focusing on the bs activities of Donald Trump, instead of focusing on other presidential candidates, the failure of Joe Biden‘s presidency, the strikes all over the country. They are using Donald Trump as a distraction. This is a propaganda station owned by Brian L Roberts, the other Rupert Murdoch boycott MSNBC

I grew up in rural Virginia. . My dad was an advent hunter, but when he came home, he cleaned and locked up his rifles. I am a Democratic Socialist and vote with Democrats. I know there can be better safety laws on the books without people giving up their 2nd Amendment rights. I hope Ryan Busse can get his messsage across to voters and win.

Do Americans ever wonder how European countries, in fact every other civilized country in the world, get by without everyone buying guns? Why we are not held up, our homes invaded and our children attacked every day without having the means to defend ourselves? (The answer is, you don't need a gun if others also don't have guns to attack you and your children. And we don't have mass killings every day.)

Montana will be a tough sell, look at who they elected, Gianforte had nothing to offer but his own special interests and they shockingly elected him, something tells me gun safety isnt on thier radar.

First of all we need to change prisons and jails, everybody should be in solitary confinement starting jail, no TVs, day rooms all of that. You are in prison not club med.

Americans don't even realize how insane they appear to the rest of the world with their OBSESSION with guns and violence. Daily mass shootings mean nothing anymore.

My developer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on various websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform. I have heard very good things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it? Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
