Lawrence: Biden gave the country a lesson in hope

President Biden stood before the United Nations General Assembly to describe an “unthinkable” new partnership between the United States and Vietnam. MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell says that this proves that “there should be no limit on hope” for the future of the United States and the world.

    Hope is Black people getting their reparations, Hope is Black anti crime Bill, hope is taking care of Black Americans before illegal immigrants, and Ukrainian's.
    Hope is fair housing, education, healthcare.

    I typically love your broadcasts but being a participant I would question your slant on the conduct of decisions contributing to the South East Asia Conflict; which was never declared a war. Your representation belittles the sacrifice of thousands of true Americans while it gives great comfort to the enemies of the Republic who love to condemn American diplomacy. The greatest cause for ultimate failure was LBJ and McNamara calling the shots from D.C. with Westmoreland, painting a corresponding picture, alleging success, to the media. What seems to be lost to history is, that great sacrifice did stop the expansion of Communism in South East Asia and beyond. That was the only loss to the cause because it gave other countries time to reflect and react..

    We need compulsory voting for America. It would strengthen our democracy, end voter fraud and it could create a process to distinguish citizens from non-citizens.
    Compulsory voting is mandatory voting. After two elections it would become common event. We need our elections to take place on a Sunday during warm weather so everyone can participate.
