Fmr. Israeli PM: Ceasefire is a ‘bad idea,’ each day of pausing is ‘another two weeks to the war’

NBC News is reporting that talks are underway between Israel, the U.S., Qatar, and Hamas for a three-day humanitarian pause and Secretary of State Antony Blinken denounced any potential Israeli occupation of Gaza after the war. Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett joins Andrea Mitchell to react to the calls for a humanitarian pause. “It is a very bad idea,” Bennett tells Andrea. “They’re going to play around with us and maneuver us and give us a few hostages, but then it’ll prolong the whole suffering of everyone.” He adds, “We got to win the war, if we keep on pausing, and allowing them to replenish and refresh themselves. Each time we give them a day, it’s another two weeks to the war.”

    Keeping up with the war has just opened my eyes unto how many people are stupid. A ceasefire, really? A ceasefire doesn’t benefit nobody except Hamas. Let’s really look at it. If there was a ceasefire the Palestinians would still have nowhere to go because other Arab countries won’t open up their borders and all of this supplies and aid won’t go to the civilians when Hamas has the power to take it for themselves. You’re literally asking for Israel to give Hamas time to heal, rest, regroup, and coordinate attacks. Like I can’t be the only one who sees this. It’s sad that civilians are dying, but you’re acting like Israel is actively targeting them. I truly feel for Israel because no matter what they do, they are always in the wrong. If people think that Israel are actively targeting civilians, then you are severely brainwashed because ask yourself “strategically what does Israel gain from killing civilians? And in answering this question, I sincerely hope you can see the truth.

    Did you know that the Palestinians were working extremely hard with Hitler to help him win the war against Britain? They were doing this because they knew it would’ve put the full control of the Israeli people into the hands of a man they knew would send all of them to death camps. That was their plan and it came SOOOOOO close to happening. When you know your history..the situation Palestinians are currently in is farrrrr better than the situation they tried (and almost succeeded) to put Israelis in. And that was BEFORE they “stole” the land and put them in an “open air prison”. Sheesh, the more I learn the more I side with Israel

    Which country in the history of the world defeated its enemy and then gave back land it fought for? Kick out the Arabs. Gd promised the land to children of Yaakov

    What a monster of a man. What role does murdering children have to do with Hamas except to harden their hearts against the nation killing their parents and bombing their hospitals? Has no one learned the lessons of the US’s actions abroad in the last century?

    Uh, those Palestinians you hope to help are NOT terrorists. You said you were going to rid Gaza of Hamas. Then WHY would you have to protect yourselves from Palestinians. Pleeeeese keep them separate.

    @liamcraig123

    United States Government labelled Nelson Mandela a terrorist, until he finally dismantled Apartheid and then he suddenly became a hero. Same story with Hamas.

    Who's the terrorist here?

    The entire focus seem to be ceize fire and giving pause and Palestinians suffering. Mr. Bennett is constantly bombarded with these questions, why should not be a debate on hostages and their release. The focus and debates should just be on release of hostages at the moment. The debates needs to be with the opposite side which started this war.

    U$A to Isreal : We are under lots of international pressure , can you force migrate less Gxza civilians ?

    Isreal to U$A : But we are train by you and copying your doing in Iraq . And you force migrate 250,000 Iraq civilians out from this world. We are relative kind.

    the real Isrxel leader(far right) agenda

    Former military intelligence chief Yadlin said a Hamas takeover would be a positive step, because Israel would then be able to declare Gaza as a hostile entity.

    Moments before Hamas took control of the Gaza Strip, former Director of Military Intelligence Major General Amos Yadlin said he would "be happy" if it happened
