Hmmmm. VOTE RED AND THIS SH*T WOULDNT HAPPEN! King county in itself has reaped what they have sown! I'm a WA resident and a landlord…..Seems a little shady here!! First the writ is the last thing served. A landlord first files a summons and complaint. If tenant doesn't answer they can go straight to default. If they do respond then it can be drawn out. At no point does the tenant get free council without lots of hoops! And don't think they need a sheriff to enforce a writ, as this is a court order and the landlord can take control at that point and break to enter to retrieve "the property". The landlord in this scenario needs to rent his house off air BnB and then change the locks and not leave. Also, WA law allows owners to issue a change of venue that they plan to occupy the property or a family member and can then take control of "the property" after that time has lapsed.

Funny, Washington state is also really big on the anti-gun front. Many of us in the east side want to become part of Idaho, like the people of Oregon.

Hire three or four of the meanest looking Hells Angels you can find to serve a "notice of eviction." (As in "get out now – you have five minutes!") That will work. The landlord here is likely already out 10's of thousands, over this crook playing the system (with no doubt huge damage done to his house).

Because so many people overpaid for homes even while loan rates were low, I believe there will be a housing catastrophe because these people are in debt. If housing costs continue to drop and, for whatever reason, they can no longer afford the property and it goes into foreclosure, they have no equity since, even if they try to sell, they will not make any money. I believe that many individuals will experience this, especially given the impending mass layoffs and rapidly rising living expenses.
