Sen. Mark Warner: Israel “not following the tenets of armed conflict”

Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.) tells José Díaz-Balart: “I support Israel’s right to defend itself. But I think the idea of innocent civilians being killed was such, at times, abandoned, and not following the tenets of armed conflict doesn’t help Israel in the long-term.”

For people who doesn’t know, Haganah a zionist militia which was categorized as a terrorist organization is the party that established the state of israel and they are talking about Hamas 😂

Anybody not calling for a cease fire at this point is immoral and a war criminal. This guy is a fool and a loser for taking such a cowardly party line.

He kind of touches on it but refuses to speak the truth clearly!

Israel wants a second front in West Bank. That’s why they are arming and promoting the violent actions of extreme Jewish Settlers on the Palestinians. They want a pre text to commit genocide in the West Bank as they have in Gaza. It’s a stated goal by senior members of the Netanyahu government.

I am (was/ don’t know) a democrat, but with all due respect, most Democratic Party reps should be renamed Hyp-ocrats. What is wrong with them? Two points: First, our government is providing billions of dollars in military assistance to Israel using our tax dollars, and cant seem to find any way of controlling how that assistance is being used? Really? If that is the case, please stop sending our money to Israel. Second, they should stop preaching “democracy” and “self-determination” and “humanity” to the world when they cant uphold the basic tenets of any one of those principles — at home or abroad.

Far-right political movements are not renowned for their morality or fair play.
Not that it seems to matter to many American voters despite some extremely painful lessons from recent human history.

Does he really think the Hamas leadership is in Gaza? You'd think that finding Bin Laden in our supposed ally, Pakistan, would have taught these people how the world works, but no.

Off how rockets, artillery shells and small arms ammo is flowing into Gaza, but food for civilians can't. Seams like a PR stunt by the Palestinians!

they havent followed any tenets since 1967 and how does obliteration and genocide of Gaza come under the right to defend their apartheid state

Utter nonsense. Warner’s ignorance of the realities on the ground is breathtaking. There are already two fronts Israel is facing (has he heard of Hezbolla 🙄), is he aware that a ceasefire will merely extend the conflict, does he seriously think Israel can fight this war without using air support? Did he suggest the US tie it’s hands behind it’s back when it fought ISIS?
